Nu börjar vårt år gå mot sitt slut, vi söker en ny styrelse och hoppas att just du ska vara intresserad! Här kommer postbeskrivningarna för de poster som tillsätts. Sista dagen att ansöka är 1 april och du söker/nominerar någon annan via länken i Facebook-eventet.
Generellt om Genius styrelse: Då föreningen endast är några år gammal finns det utrymme för utveckling och förändring inom alla roller. Som aktiv i styrelsen är du inte helt bunden till din roll utan alla kan ansvara för olika event eller samarbeten. Alla hjälper alla med de saker som behöver göras även om du har ett övergripande ansvar över din roll.
– Ordförande: Som ordförande har du det yttersta ansvaret för föreningen. Arbetsuppgifter består i bland annat att hålla i möten, ansvara för dagordningen, fördela ansvarsområden och se till att föreningen arbetar enligt föreningens syfte. Ordförandens mål är att bidra till och arbeta för en god gruppdynamik men också att se till att det finns ett långsiktigt tänk i föreningens arbete. Hen stöttar styrelseledamöterna i deras arbeten.
– Vice ordförande: Som vice ordförande agerar du som ordförandes högra hand. Om ordförande är borta så är det du som har hand om veckomötena. Posten vice ordförande har möjlighet att bistå andra poster då den är väldigt fri. Tiden du inte lägger på att hjälpa ordförande går att disponera på valfritt sätt. Vice ordförande är även den som leder arbetet och projektgruppen för att arrangera Regnbågs-P.
– Kassör: Som kassör har du hand om föreningens ekonomi. Detta betyder att du ansvarar för bland annat bokföringen samt har koll på inköp inom föreningen. Är du strukturerad och har ett intresse för ekonomi så är den här posten perfekt för dig. Tidigare erfarenheter är inte nödvändigt utan viktigast är en god inlärningsförmåga.
– Sociala medier: Som ansvarig för sociala medier styr du bland annat föreningens Instagram- och Facebook-konton. Arbetsuppgifter består i att bland annat marknadsföra på sociala medier, skriva medlemsmail, uppdatera hemsidan samt dela andra inlägg som du anser är relevanta för Gen!us medlemmar. Det finns utrymme att vara kreativ och utveckla rollen som sociala medier-ansvarig. Denna post passar dig som är kreativ och är intresserad av marknadsföring.
– Eventansvarig(2st): I posten som eventansvarig ansvarar du tillsammans med en annan person för att anordna event. Arbetet som eventansvarig innebär att du har huvudansvaret vid planerandet och genomförandet av event. Under förra året anordnades genusfikor, kreativ workshop, sittning, pub och mycket mer. Är du intresserad av att förverkliga dina dröm aktiviteter eller anordna lärorika och roliga event? Tveka inte att söka.
– Workshop: Gen!us arbetar utbildande genom att erbjuda workshops och föreläsningar för andra föreningar på Liu. Som ansvarig för workshops är det ni som bokar in möten, planerar terminens kommande workshops och ansvarar för det praktiska. Tidigare år har vi haft workshops och föreläsningar med StuFF och Linteks fadderister, med LiUs faddrar, med Maskinteknologsektionens medlemmar och mycket mer. Ni kommer sedan att ha ett workshop-team där ni tillsammans lägger fram material och håller i föreläsningarna.
– Samarbetsansvarig. Vår förening har under året många samarbeten med andra föreningar eller andra som är intresserade. Samarbeten vi gjort i år är allt från att hålla en pub med Pub örat till gemensamma lunchföreläsningar med andra föreningar. Som samarbetsansvarig har du övergripande koll på dessa och arbetar även nära workshopansvarige för att ta fram dessa. Det finns också utrymme att spåna fram samarbeten som du tycker skulle vara intressanta. Denna post är till för dig som kan ha många bollar i luften och vill driva föreningen framåt.
– Tryck och PR: Som tryck och PR- ansvarig har du som uppgift att skapa snygga grafiska material till föreningen. Marknadsföringen består av flyers, posters samt fixa originella bilder på Facebook och andra grafiska uppdrag. Du kommer arbeta nära tillsammans med Sociala medier-ansvarig. Är du kreativ och har viss erfarenhet av Photoshop, InDesign och Illustrator eller liknande program så passar den här posten dig perfekt.

Our year is coming towards an end, and we’re now recruiting the board for 18/19 and we’re hoping that you want to apply! See the different posts below. The last date to apply is April 1st and you do it through the link in our Facebook-event.
About being in the Genius board: Since the organisation is only a few years old the roles are not set in stone and therefore change and development is possible within all roles. As active in the genius board you will not only be tied to your role, since anyone can be responsible for an event or collaboration. Everyone will give the others a hand when needed, even if you have the overall responsibility for your role.
– President of the board: As the president, you will have responsibility for the association. Duties consist of being in charge of the weekly meetings, be responsible for the agenda and to ensure that the association is working according to the association’s purpose. The president’s goal is to contribute to and work for a good group dynamics but also see to that there is a long term focus within the work. You will also support the other board members in their work.
– Vice president of the board: As the vice president, you’re acting as the president’s right hand. You replace the president if she/he is absence. As vice president, you have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the position because you have a lot of free rein.
– Treasurer: As the treasurer, you have the responsibility for the association’s economy. This entails the ongoing bookkeeping and the purchases within the association. If you are organized and have an interest in economy, then this is the perfect position for you. Previous experience is not necessary, but most important is a good learning ability.
– Social Media: As head of social media, you are in control of Instagram and Facebook. Duties consist of market and send out membersmail, update the webpage, share Gen!us events and share posts that you find relevant for Gen!us members. There is room to be creative and evolve the role. This post will suit you if you’re creative and is interested in marketing.
-The head of activities: This position is responsible for organizing events together with the other head of activites. This means that you have the main responsibility for the planning and implementations of the events. Last year, we organized genusfikor, creative workshops, a dinner party, pub and much more. Are you interested to create your dream event and organize educational and fun events? Do not hesitate to apply.
– Workshop: Gen!us educational work consist of offering workshops and lecture to other associations at LiU. As the head of workshops, you are responsible for booking appointments, plan upcoming workshops and other practical duties. Previous years we have had workshops and lectures for StuFF and Linteks fadderister, for LiU’s faddrar, for members from the Mechanical Engineering program and many more. You will have a workshops team that you will work with regarding submit materials and holding lectures.
-Press and PR: As head of press and PR, your tasks consist of creating stylish graphical materials for the association. The promotion consists of flyers, posters and to create original images for facebook as well as other graphical tasks. You will work closely together with the the head of social media. If you are you creative and have some experience with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator or similar programs then this position is perfect for you.
– Head of co-operations. During the year, our association recieves many requests for different collaborations with other associations and similar. The collaborations we have done this year is for example holding a pub with pub Örat to joint lunch lectures with other associations. As a collaborator you have a comprehensive overview of these and a close cooperation with the workshop-post to create them. There is also room to come up with collaborations that you think would be interesting. This post will suit you if you like to have a lot on your plate and want to help genius move forward!
